Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit, along with basic technical metadata your browser sends automatically — your browser's user-agent string and the page that referred you here. That's it. We don't ask for your name, payment details, or anything else at the waitlist stage.

The site doesn't use tracking cookies and doesn't need a cookie banner as a result. The one piece of local browser storage it uses is a small, non-personal flag that remembers you've already seen the intro animation, so it doesn't replay every time you visit — it holds no personal data and never leaves your browser. If we add privacy-first, cookieless analytics in the future (aggregate visit counts only, no personal profiles), we'll update this page to say so.

2. How we use it

We use your email to send you the KEYUP launch notification, your Discord invite, and your waitlist discount when the app ships. We may occasionally send a short update before then if something meaningfully changes. We don't sell, rent, or share your email with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Where it's stored

Waitlist data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, which acts as a data processor on our behalf. Access to the raw list is restricted; the public website itself cannot read it back — only add to it.

4. How long we keep it

We keep waitlist entries until launch communications are complete, or until you ask us to delete your entry — whichever is sooner.

5. Your rights

You can ask us what we have on file for your email, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely, at any time and for any reason. Email [email protected] and we'll handle it directly — usually within a few days. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, this covers your rights under GDPR/UK GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, and objection); if you're elsewhere, we apply the same practice regardless of where you live.

6. The KEYUP application itself

This policy covers the website and waitlist. The application reads your Euro Truck Simulator 2 telemetry locally, on your own machine, to answer your questions during a run. A separate, more detailed notice covering exactly what the app does with that data will ship with the app itself before launch.

7. Children

KEYUP isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Meaningful changes will be called out clearly, not buried.
